Kaduna International Livestock & Poultry Industry Summit LTD/GTE ("KILPIS", "we", "us", "our") operates the KILPIS website and related staff mailboxes at kilpis.org. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have — written in the spirit of the clear, plain-language privacy policies larger platforms like Gmail publish, scaled to the size of what we actually do.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

• Information you give us directly. When you use a form on this site — Contact, Attend, Exhibit, or Investment & Membership — we receive whatever you enter: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), organisation (if provided), the nature of your inquiry, and your message. We do not require an account to use these forms.
• Information handled through our mailboxes. Messages sent to or from an @kilpis.org address (for example, when you email info@kilpis.org) are stored on our mail server so our staff can read and respond to them, the same as any organisation's business email.

We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use analytics or tracking cookies. The one third-party request this site makes is to Google Fonts, to load the site's typefaces — your browser contacts Google's servers directly for that, which means your IP address is visible to Google in the ordinary way any font or image request works. We don't otherwise share your browsing activity with anyone.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit to:

• Respond to your inquiry, registration, exhibition, membership, or partnership request;
• Coordinate summit logistics with our delivery partners (the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture and Synergos Nigeria) where your inquiry is relevant to their role in the summit;
• Send you information you've asked for about KILPIS or, where relevant, our sibling summit (KICGIS, at kicgis.org);
• Keep a record of correspondence so our team has context if you write to us again.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising — ours or anyone else's.

Who we share information with

We share information only where it's necessary to do the things above:

• Our delivery partners — the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture and Synergos Nigeria — when your inquiry concerns something they administer (for example, membership or investment facilitation);
• Our technical operator, Digital River Technologies Ltd, who hosts this site and our mail system and can access data as needed to keep them running and secure;
• Legal authorities, if required by Nigerian law or a valid legal process.

We do not share your information with any other third party without telling you first, except as described above.

How we protect your information

Our website and mail system are served over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Mailbox passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing, and staff mailboxes support optional two-factor authentication. Access to the underlying servers is restricted to the technical team responsible for operating them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, proportionate steps for an organisation of our size.

How long we keep information

We keep form submissions and correspondence for as long as reasonably useful for the purposes above — typically for the lifecycle of the summit cycle you contacted us about, plus a further period for our own records. If you'd like us to delete information we hold about you sooner, contact us (see below) and we will do so unless we have a legitimate reason to retain it (for example, an ongoing registration or an unresolved dispute).

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it's wrong, and to ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these, email info@kilpis.org and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

KILPIS is a business and investment platform aimed at industry professionals, exhibitors, and partners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your information, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted here for at least one summit cycle.
